Stewart Altmeyer comes from a family rooted deeply in the medical field. His father, brother and sister-in-law are all physicians, as was his grandfather, and both of his grandmothers were nurses as well.
Stewart received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry, with a minor in physics, from Tulane University in 1998. He then furthered his scientific education by spending three years at the University of Texas at Austin as a researcher in an ultra-high vacuum laser spectroscopy.
Stewart then decided to change courses and pursue a career in law. He was accepted by the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis where he received his juris doctor in 2005. Stewart then went on to clerk for the Honorable James C. Stucky, circuit court judge in the 13th Judicial Circuit of the State of West Virginia.
Since joining The Foster Law Firm, Stewart has focused on practicing in the area of medical malpractice defense.
